Chernobyl 2000
Chernobyl 2000 are a Worcestershire based charity started by Mike and Maureen Worton back in 1998. Their purpose is to run humanitarian aid convoys to Belarus and organise recuperative visits for Belarusian children to the UK through educational and performance art links.
Connect Vending's Engineer Nick Eustace has just returned from a successful trip to Belarus where numerous volunteers distributed much needed supplies to local to local schools, orphanages and hospitals. Nick also reported that a number of children joined them on this trip, and spent time with local families where they experienced the cultural differences first hand.
If you would like to know more about Chernobyl 2000 then please visit their website www.chernobyl2000ltd.co.uk. To make a much welcomed donation to a truly amazing charity to ensure that this good work continues, you can do so by E-Mailing Mike Worton M.B.E at chernobyl2000@aol.com.
